Leicestershire County Council is seeking a Library Services Assistant to join the team at Broughton Astley Library. You will help customers access information, support IT use, shelve materials and run library events to encourage reading and digital resources.

Working Hours: 14.25hrs - Monday 10am-1pm | Tuesday 1.30pm-5pm | Thursday 1.45pm-4pm | Friday 9.45am-1pm | Alternate Saturdays 9.30am-2pm

As a Library Services Assistant, you will work as part of a team responsible for providing a high quality, welcoming, and efficient library service to all customers. You will support library users to find the information and resources they need, assist them to use IT systems, shelve and display books and other materials, and deliver library events such as IT tasters and sessions for under 5’s. You will also be required to promote customer choice and enjoyment in reading, and the service’s digital offer including e-books and online reference resources.
