Overview

Librarian – Mixed Sixth Form, South West London

This Librarian position is part time (Mondays and Tuesdays) and temporary in the first instance. Immediate start is available. A Librarian is needed to manage the silent study area in the Sixth Form's library and to support library resources and pupil learning.

Responsibilities include managing and organising library resources to enhance learning across all subjects, promoting the usefulness of the library for academic and recreational reading, and inspiring a love of literature to encourage independent learning.

The pay rate for this Librarian role is between £100 and £180 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.

The School

An Ofsted rated \'Outstanding\' Sixth Form for pupils aged 16 to 19 years, located in the London Borough of Lambeth. Facilities include music teaching/practice rooms, a drama studio, main hall, dining area, outside amphitheatre, graphics room, media room, art suite, fitness/sports space, ICT suites, large library, science laboratories and a horticulture space.

Cultural Perspectives are integrated into learning (e.g., topics such as First Aid Skills, Space, Philosophy and Statues of Parliament). There is an onsite cafe offering coffee, hot chocolate and snacks, with vegetarian and vegan options available. A smart dress code is requested for staff and pupils.

Requirements
