DPD UK is hiring an LGV Driver in Warrington to join a modern fleet and support nationwide collections and deliveries. You will play a key role in keeping the country moving with a focus on safety and compliance, driving a well-maintained fleet and using GPS/logistics tools.

The role involves a permanent 40-hour week with a Saturday to Wednesday shift pattern, and a pay package including standard hourly rate plus night rate premium and overtime. Join a people-first, tech-driven logistics leader.

Qualifications

• UK Class 1 (CE) Licence, CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• At least 6 months experience driving Class 1 vehicles.
• Strong geographical knowledge of UK roads and safety-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries to LGV-friendly sites.
• Manage trailer swaps and live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Use GPS and digital tachographs to manage routes and ensure compliance.
• Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers nationwide.
• Prioritise safety by conducting thorough vehicle inspections and safe driving in all conditions.

• The Pay: £16.35 ph + £2.72 ph night rate premium between 18:00 to 06:00 + enhanced overtime rate

Job Description

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be a key player in our national transport department, moving bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers.

• The Mission: Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on LGV-friendly locations.


• Logistics: Manage trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.


• Tech & Compliance: Use GPS and digital tachographs to manage your route and remain 100% compliant.

• Safety First: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving in all conditions.

Qualifications

What You Bring

• The License: Valid UK Class 1 (Category CE) Licence, CPC Card, and Digital Tachograph Card.


• The Experience: At least 6 months experience handling Class 1 vehicles.
