Job summary

DPD UK is seeking a reliable LGV Driver to join our team, driving a modern fleet and helping to keep the country moving.

You’ll move bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers, manage trailer swaps, loading/unloading, and stay compliant using GPS and digital tachographs.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (CE) Licence, CPC Card, and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 6 months' experience with Class 1 vehicles.
• Excellent knowledge of UK road networks.
• Professional, reliable and capable of meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections and deliveries to major customers.
• Manage trailer swaps and live loading/unloading.
• Use GPS and tachographs to plan routes and ensure compliance.
• Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers.

• The Pay: £17.91ph+ £2.72 ph night rate premium between 18:00 to06:00 + enhanced overtime rate

Job Description

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be a key player in our national transport department, moving bulk collections between DPD sites and major customers.

• The Mission:Execute nationwide collections and deliveries, focusing on LGV-friendly locations.
• Logistics:Manage trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep the network moving.
• Tech & Compliance:Use GPS and digital tachographs to manage your route and remain 100% compliant.
• The Face of DPD:Maintain professional relations with dispatchers and customers across the country. Professional, resourceful, and reliable.
• Safety First:Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving in all conditions.

Qualifications

What You Bring

• The License:Valid UK Class 1 (Category CE) Licence, CPC Card, and Digital Tachograph Card.
• The Experience:At least 6 monthsexperience handling Class 1 vehicles.
• The Skillset:Excellent geographical knowledge of UK roads and a "safety-first" mindset.
• The Vibe:You're a resourceful problem-solver who can work under pressure and hit deadlines whilst delivering great service
