Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc is seeking a Professional Driver for waste collection across planned routes. You will drive, load waste, and ensure daily checks using onboard systems to maintain accurate work notes.

The role emphasizes safety, compliance with traffic laws, and reporting on service and environmental issues. A team-focused, communicative mindset is essential, with commitment to a respectful, inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Class 2 Driving Licence is required.
• CPC / DIGI card (DigiCard) up-to-date.
• Ability to work confidently within a team environment.
• Must have good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive to planned collection locations and load recycling and domestic waste into the vehicle.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and use onboard tech to log notes.
• Comply with traffic laws and legislation.
• Ensure work environment is safe and clean at all times.
• Ensure operations are carried out in a safe manner.
• Report service, safety and environmental issues.
• Ensure accidents are documented and reported accurately as per company procedures.
• Carry out duties per programme of works, schedules and work instructions.
