Job summary

Biffa Waste Services is hiring an LGV Driver for the PM shift, performing outdoor trade waste collection with front and back loaders. The role runs Monday to Friday with overtime available, 15:00 to 00:30 starts, based in the UK.

You will operate various LGV vehicles, ensure vehicle safety checks, and contribute to the local environment by keeping areas clean and compliant with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card.
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.
• Ability to safely manoeuvre and operate a large rigid vehicle.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Good awareness of health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles including front and back loaders to collect and empty bins from trade waste customers.
• Work outdoors on a PM shift from 15:00 to 00:30, Monday to Friday with overtime available.
• Operate vehicle in a safe, efficient manner and report any defects or issues.

Start/Finish times: 15.00 to 00.30

£16.87p/h + Back Shift Allowance

Working as part of a single person crew, you will drive various modes of LGV vehicles including front and back loaders, collecting and emptying bins, from our trade waste customers.
