Job summary

Biffa Group is seeking a LGV2 Driver for PM shifts in trade waste services. The role runs Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work, from 13:30 to 23:00.

You will operate front and rear loader vehicles, collect trade waste, and ensure daily checks are completed, supporting safe operations and customer service. This outdoor role suits someone with the right licence and CPC, who values a reliable schedule and being part of a team that improves local environments.

Qualifications

• Valid LGV/HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card.
• Good understanding of road safety and vehicle safety.
• Ability to complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph requirements.
• Ability to safely manoeuvre a large rigid vehicle.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Awareness of health & safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles including front and back loaders for trade waste collections.
• Collect and empty bins from trade waste customers.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Work outdoors, using initiative and ensuring safety and customer service.

Job description

LGV 2 Driver - PM Shifts (Trade Waste Driver)

Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday/Sunday work.

Start / Finish Times: 13:30 to 23.00

£16.87p/h + Back Shift Allowance and daily bonus.

Working as part of a single person crew, you will drive various modes of LGV vehicles including front and back loaders, collecting and emptying bins, from our trade waste customers.
