Job summary

Biffa Waste Services seeks an LGV Driver for the AM shift at Burgess Hill Depot. You will operate LGV vehicles including front and back loaders to collect and empty bins for trade waste customers, often outdoors and requiring initiative.

Mon–Fri, 04:00 start, 45 hours/week with occasional Saturday overtime. On-the-job training, plus access to Biffa Perkz discounts and family-friendly policies.

Qualifications

• Good communication and customer service abilities.

• Strong understanding of road safety and hours regulations.
• Previous LGV driving experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drive LGV vehicles including front and back loaders to collect and empty bins for trade waste customers.
• Work outdoors on public roads and operate with initiative to protect the local environment.
• Adhere to drivers’ hours regulations and safety standards while delivering reliable service.

LGV Driver - AM Shift

Location: Burgess Hill Depot
Days of work: Monday to Friday (45 hours per week)
Start Time: 04.00am
Salary: £39,475 (Occasional Saturday overtime)

Working as part of a single person crew, you will drive various modes of LGV vehicles including front and back loaders, collecting and emptying bins, from our trade waste customers.

Requirements

• Full, valid LGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• A good understanding of road safety and drivers’ hours regulations.
• A strong commitment to health and safety.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Previous LGV driving experience is desirable.
