Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking an experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEND and SEMH in a specialist setting in Telford, Shropshire, England. The role focuses on fostering inclusion through trauma-informed approaches and personalised EHCP outcomes, in partnership with teachers and external professionals.

You will deliver targeted interventions, provide 1:1 and small group support, and contribute to progress reviews, while maintaining emotional regulation and strong

Qualifications

• Experience working with SEND and/or SEMH pupils.
• Understands trauma-informed and relational practice.
• Ability to support behaviour in a calm and consistent manner.
• Reflective, adaptable and solution-focused.
• Works effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning in a specialist classroom environment.
• Deliver targeted interventions and structured programmes.
• Provide 1:1 and small group support aligned to EHCP outcomes.
• Use restorative and trauma-informed approaches to support behaviour.
• Promote emotional regulation and positive engagement.
• Collaborate with teachers, pastoral leads and external professionals.
• Contribute to progress monitoring and review meetings.
