Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking caring Teaching Assistants to support pupils with SEN across schools in Telford and Shropshire. You’ll work with children with autism, ADHD and other needs, providing one-to-one and small-group support in a safe, structured setting.

No prior SEN experience is required; training is provided to build confidence and skills in a specialist education setting. Flexible full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Able to work with pupils with additional needs
• Willingness to undergo DBS checks and training
• Patience, empathy and enthusiasm to help young people thrive

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with SEN
• Help create a calm, structured learning environment
• Support teachers and SEN staff with learning and behaviour strategies
• Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and social skills
• Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive classroom atmosphere
