Job summary

Empowering Learning is recruiting a Level 3 Teaching Assistant for Northallerton and surrounding areas. The role involves supporting learning in primary schools, delivering engaging lessons in collaboration with teachers, and assisting with individualised student support, including SEN needs.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 TA qualification, have recent primary school experience, and demonstrate strong communication and safeguarding commitment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is required.
• Experience in a Primary School setting.
• Understanding of the curriculum and learning objectives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Caring and compassionate approach toward students.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
• Support students with learning through one-on-one assistance and small group interventions.
• Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Promote the social and emotional development of students, fostering their confidence and independence.
• Assist with the implementation of IEPs and behaviour management strategies.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and other support staff to meet the individual needs of students.
• Contribute to the planning and preparation of teaching resources and materials.
