The role suits an experienced Nursery Nurse or EY Educator who enjoys playing with young children and developing early years learning in a school-based setting.

Level 3 Early Years Practitioner Nursery Barnet

Location: Barnet, North London
Pay: £105 £120 per day
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Start Date: September 2026

Enrich Education Recruitment is working with a welcoming 2-form-entry primary school in Barnet seeking a qualified Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join its Nursery team from September.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Nursery Nurse or Early Years Educator who enjoys working with younger children and wants to work within a school-based Nursery environment.

You’ll join an established Early Years team with experienced teachers and practitioners, with a strong focus on learning through play, communication, independence and preparing children for Reception.

The Role

You will:

• Support learning through purposeful play
• Plan and lead engaging small-group activities
• Support early language and communication development
• Encourage early literacy and numeracy skills
• Help children develop confidence and independence
• Support personal, social and emotional development
• Contribute to observations and assessment
• Help create engaging indoor and outdoor learning activities
• Establish positive routines within the Nursery
• Provide additional support to children with SEN where required

Essential Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification or above
• Previous Nursery or Early Years experience
• A good understanding of the EYFS
• A warm, nurturing and engaging approach
• Confidence leading activities with small groups
• Strong communication skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team

School-based Nursery experience is desirable, although experienced practitioners from private nurseries and other Early Years settings are encouraged to apply.

The School

This is a friendly 2-form-entry primary school with its own Nursery provision and an established Early Years team.

You’ll work alongside experienced practitioners and teaching staff in a collaborative environment where Early Years staff are well supported and encouraged to share ideas.

The school is accessible from Finchley, Hendon, Mill Hill, Edgware and surrounding areas, with good Northern line, rail and bus connections.
