Empowering Learning Ltd. is seeking Level 3 Nursery Practitioners for full-time roles in Derby and surrounding areas.

You will provide high-quality care and education in line with EYFS, plan activities, support language, physical, social and emotional development, observe and document progress.

The role requires a qualified early years professional, strong teamwork, safeguarding commitment, and a positive, proactive approach to creating a safe and nurturing environment for children.

Qualifications

• Recognised Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare.
• Passion for working with young children and supporting development.
• Solid understanding of the EYFS framework and early years development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and use initiative.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Key Responsibilities

As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing high-quality care and education for children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
• Planning and supporting age-appropriate activities that encourage children's learning, creativity and development.
• Supporting children's communication, language, physical, social and emotional development.
• Observing, assessing and recording children's progress, identifying individual needs and developmental milestones.
• Creating a safe, welcoming and stimulating learning environment.
• Building positive relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues.
• Supporting children's independence, confidence and social skills through play-based learning.
• Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
• Maintaining accurate records, observations and relevant documentation.
• Working collaboratively with the nursery team to deliver high standards of care and education.
• Supporting children's individual needs and promoting inclusion and equal opportunities.
• Following nursery policies and procedures, including those relating to behaviour management, safeguarding and confidentiality.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• A recognised Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare, or an equivalent qualification accepted for the role.
• A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
• A good understanding of the EYFS framework and early years development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A caring, patient and positive approach.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team and use your own initiative.
• A reliable, professional and flexible attitude.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting is desirable. Candidates
