St Peters CofE Academy is offering a Level 3 IT Solutions Technician Apprenticeship. You will gain hands-on experience supporting IT systems for staff and students, working with the helpdesk, and assisting with hardware and software maintenance across the Academy.
The programme includes online training, a dedicated tutor, and progression towards the Level 3 IT Solutions Technician qualification over 18 months, with an 8.00 GBP/hour rate and a typical 37-hour week.

This apprenticeship offers hands‑on experience supporting the Academy's IT systems, helping to maintain a secure and efficient digital learning environment for staff and students.
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands‑on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff, helping to create a secure and efficient digital learning environment.
The duties may change over time as requirements and circumstances change. The post-holder may reasonably be expected to undertake other duties commensurate with the level of responsibility from time to time.
All staff are expected to:
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems
Basic understanding of network infrastructures and wireless networks or willing to learn
Basic knowledge of cloud services
Ability to maintain high degree of customer service and communicate effectively with staff, students and outside agencies
Good technical skills and communication skills
Knowledge of mobile devices including Apple and Android
Knowledge of Google Workspace
Appropriately motivated and enjoy working with children and young people
A commitment to using discretion and respecting the need for confidentiality
Motivated to do the job well
Able to prioritise work and meet deadlines, whilst being mindful of wider academy needs
A pro‑active, ‘can-do’ approach
Strong team ethic and supportive of others
Flexible and adaptable, comfortable with changing priorities
Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict and shifting deadlines

Some experience of setting up or maintaining a variety of networked hardware – PCs, printers, laptops etc.

Experience of working in a school environment
Experience of using a VLE, online learning platform and/or intranet
