Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting a qualified Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Harpurhey/Blackley area of North Manchester. You will support children in Nursery settings, assist early learning through play and small-group activities, and act as a key person for a group of children.

The right candidate will hold a Level 3 qualification, have EYFS experience, paediatric first aid, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Holds a recognised Level 3 Early Years, Teaching Assistant or Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification.
• Previous professional experience within Nursery or EYFS.
• Strong understanding of early childhood development.
• Confident supporting play-based learning.
• Patient, nurturing and enthusiastic.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid Paediatric First Aid qualification.
• Reliable and committed to working within a school environment.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children within a Nursery / Early Years environment.
• Supporting learning through play and structured activities.
• Leading small-group activities and targeted learning sessions.
• Supporting communication, language and early development.
• Encouraging children's confidence, independence and social skills.
• Acting as a key person for a group of children.
• Supporting daily routines, transitions and classroom organisation.
• Observing and supporting children's individual development.
• Working closely with the class teacher and wider EYFS team.
• Helping create a safe, engaging and stimulating learning environment.
