Job summary

A local early years nursery is seeking a Level 3 Early Years Educator Practitioner to cover maternity leave. The role involves ensuring the safeguarding and wellbeing of children while providing stimulating experiences according to the Early Years Foundation Stage. Candidates must hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Care and Education and demonstrate outstanding care commitment and strong communication skills. This is a full-time position with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Overview

Early Years Educator Level 3 Practitioner — We are looking for a Level 3 practitioner to cover maternity leave for up to a year with the possibility of being made permanent, with a minimum of Level 3 qualification in Early Years Care and Education.

Hours: Full Time – 37.5 hours per week, all year round

Main Purpose of the Job
  • to ensure the safeguarding and wellbeing of all children at all times
  • to be active in providing stimulating and well-planned experiences within the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
  • be active and committed in ensuring that all children attending the setting receive high quality care, are kept safe and receive stimulating play experiences which meet their individual needs and interests
  • to act as a key person for an allocated group of children - ensuring care and planning of experiences meet their individual needs, interests, and next steps of development
  • build strong relationships with parents ensuring they feel valued and are supported in developing learning at home
  • to keep abreast of all local and national changes that affect early years
