Job summary

Knowsley Lane Primary School, part of Vantage CE Academies Trust, is seeking a Teaching Assistant Level 2 (One to One SEND Support) with experience in SEN. You will support pupils with SEND inside and outside the classroom, collaborate with teachers and help deliver inclusive learning activities.

A patient, calm approach and strong teamwork are essential. The role is part-time/term-time with 32.5 hours per week, reporting to the school’s leadership and benefiting from the Trust’s professional

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role.
• Experience of working with children with SEN.
• Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions (e.g. autism, ADHD, dyslexia, speech & language difficulties).
• Ability to reinforce lesson material, adapt resources and assist with tasks to support learning progress.
• Patience, empathy, resilience and a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Excellent behaviour management skills with the ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support children with SEND inside and outside the classroom as required.
• Work closely with class teachers and support the child to engage in activities.
• Help reinforce learning, adapt resources and encourage progress.
• Maintain a calm, respectful and supportive environment for all learners.
