Envision Education is currently recruiting Level 2 Qualified SEND Teaching Assistants for schools in and around Bourne End, Buckinghamshire, with opportunities available in primary and secondary settings.

As a Level 2 Qualified SEND Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with their learning, development, wellbeing and individual needs throughout the school day.
Your responsibilities may include:
Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND
Supporting children and young people with needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties and social, emotional and behavioural needs
Helping pupils access lessons and participate fully in classroom activities
Supporting pupils with their EHCP targets and individual learning plans
Encouraging pupils to develop their confidence, independence and social skills
Supporting positive behaviour and helping pupils regulate their emotions
Using appropriate strategies to support pupils who may become dysregulated or distressed
Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and other professionals to support pupils' development
Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
Adapting activities and providing appropriate support based on individual needs
Helping to create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
Monitoring and communicating pupils' progress and any concerns to relevant staff
Supporting pupils with their personal development and day‑to‑day routines where required
Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
Previous experience working with children or young people
Experience supporting children or young people with SEND is highly desirable or Carer role.
Knowledge or experience of supporting children with autism, ADHD, communication difficulties or behavioural needs is advantageous
A caring, patient and nurturing approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations
A proactive approach and the ability to use your initiative
Confidence working on a 1:1 and small-group basis
Ability to work effectively alongside teachers, SENCOs and other professionals
Reliable, professional and committed
Good spoken and written English
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
