Job summary

Envision Education is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time role in Welwyn Garden City. You will provide 1:1 support and assist the class teacher to deliver a safe, inclusive learning environment from 08:30 to 16:00, Monday to Friday.

Experience working with children in the UK and a willingness to obtain a Child and Adult DBS is required. Local residential proximity to Welwyn Garden City is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering support to SEND students.
• Previous work with children in the UK with reference available.
• Willingness to obtain DBS clearance (Child and Adult).

Responsibilities

SEND Teaching Assistant - Welwyn Garden City

Are you passionate about positively impacting the future of children through their academic learning? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity to join a superb SEND school in the Welwyn Garden City area as a SEND Teaching Assistant. This is a full time role, Monday to Friday, 08:30am to 4pm, where you will provide 1:1 support.

Prior experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant would be preferable, but you must have experience working with children in some form of capacity (in the UK) where you can obtain a reference for this.

The Role:

• As a SEND Teaching Assistant you will need to aid teachers and other colleagues in creating a safe, fun and inclusive learning environment for all children
• Support children including SEND children, working with them on a 1:1 level or small groups as a SEND Teaching Assistant
• Aid teachers in organising and implementing educational activities both inside and outside the classroom
• Support children's learning by motivating, encouraging and support their educational progress as a SEND Teaching Assistant

Requirements:

• Able to work Monday to Friday, 08:30am to 4pm
• Have prior experience working with children preferably, must have experience with children in some capacity
• Comfortable providing support for SEND children on a 1:1 level
• Have or willing to obtain a Child and Adult DBS
• Live local to Welwyn Garden City or within a commutable distance

Pay rate is dependent on qualifications, experience and skills.
