Job summary

Envision Education is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant for an immediate start in Hemel Hempstead. You will support pupils with SEND, work with the teacher to deliver inclusive lessons and assist with 1:1 or small group support.

The role emphasises a patient, caring approach and the ability to foster independence and social development. UK experience is essential; an Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children in the UK is essential.
  • Experience supporting children with SEND, Autism, ADHD, or other needs is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills are required.
  • A calm, patient, caring and resilient approach is expected.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with SEND and a range of needs.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver inclusive lessons.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support as required.
  • Encourage independence, confidence and social development during learning and play.

We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming, ambitious, and inclusive school in Hemel Hempstead for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. The Role
  • Support pupils with a range of SEND, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, and speech and language needs.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging, inclusive, and accessible lessons.
  • Provide 1:1 and/or small group support, adapting daily activities to meet individual learning needs.
  • Encourage pupils' independence, confidence, and social development during learning sessions, therapies, and playtimes.
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment where every child can progress and succeed.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous experience working with children in the UK is essential; experience supporting children with SEND, Autism, ADHD, or other additional needs is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A calm, patient, caring, and resilient approach.
  • A positive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
