Job summary

Veritas Education Recruitment is partnering with a welcoming nursery in Lancaster to recruit a Level 2 EYFS Practitioner for a long-term placement from September 2026 to April 2027. You will provide one-to-one support to a non-verbal child with ASD in a busy nursery setting, fostering communication and social interaction.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 2 Early Years qualification, have experience with ASD/additional needs, and demonstrate patience, resilience, and a passion for SEND.

Qualifications

• Holds a minimum Level 2 Early Years qualification.
• Experience supporting children with ASD and/or additional needs.
• Understanding strategies to support children who may display behaviours that challenge.
• Patient, calm, and able to build positive relationships.
• Passion for supporting children with SEND.

Level 2 EYFS Practitioner (SEN Support)

Lancaster | September 2026 to April 2027 Monday to Friday | 9:00am - 3:00pm

Veritas Education is working in partnership with a welcoming nursery in Lancaster seeking a dedicated and nurturing Level 2 EYFS Practitioner to join their team on a long-term basis from September 2026 until April 2027.

This rewarding role involves providing one-to-one support for a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who is currently attending the nursery before transitioning to a specialist SEN school placement in April 2027.

The child is non-verbal, mobile and active, and can occasionally display behaviours that challenge when feeling overwhelmed or unable to communicate their needs. The successful candidate will be patient, resilient, and committed to creating a safe, positive, and supportive learning environment.

The Role

• Supporting a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) on a one-to-one basis
