Job summary

Veritas Education, in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Lancaster, is seeking a dedicated Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their SEN provision immediately. The role involves supporting the class teacher, working one-to-one and in small groups with children who require additional educational, social and emotional support.

You will help pupils access learning, develop confidence and achieve personal goals in a nurturing, supportive environment, with term-time hours

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is required.
• Experience supporting children with SEN in a school, nursery, or similar setting.
• Patient, caring, and adaptable approach with excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 2) - SEN Provision

Location: Lancaster

Hours: 8:30am - 3:15pm, Monday to Friday

Contract: Term Time Only

Start Date: Immediate Start

Veritas Education are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Lancaster that is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist SEN provision immediately.

This rewarding role involves supporting the class teacher within a small class of pupils who require additional educational, social, and emotional support. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping children access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their individual goals in a nurturing and supportive environment.

The Role

• Supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Has experience supporting children with SEN in a school, nursery, or similar setting.
• Is patient, caring, and adaptable in their approach.
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Is committed to supporting the educational and personal development of every child.
