Job summary

Little London Academy, part of The GORSE Academies Trust, seeks a Level 1 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team on a fixed-term contract to 31 December 2026. The role supports pupils to access learning, promotes engagement and independence, and helps maintain a safe, inclusive environment.

You will assist with preparing learning environments, support pupil welfare and behaviour, and contribute to positive learning experiences for all children, working under the guidance of teaching

Qualifications

• Good numeracy/literacy skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with children and adults.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic ICT skills and confidence using everyday technology.
• Experience of working with, or caring for, children of a relevant age.
• A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and supporting pupils’ individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support under the direction of teaching staff.
• Promote pupil engagement and independence.
• Contribute to pupils’ wellbeing and development.
• Help prepare learning environments and resources.
• Assist with pupil welfare and behaviour management.
