Job summary

Little London Academy, part of The GORSE Academies Trust, seeks a Level 1 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team on a fixed-term contract to 31 December 2026. The role supports pupils to access learning, promotes engagement and independence, and helps maintain a safe, inclusive environment.

You will assist with preparing learning environments, support pupil welfare and behaviour, and contribute to positive learning experiences for all children, working under the guidance of teaching

Qualifications

• Good numeracy/literacy skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with children and adults.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic ICT skills and confidence using everyday technology.
• Experience of working with, or caring for, children of a relevant age.
• A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and supporting pupils’ individual needs.

Job description

Start date to be agreed with the successful candidate. Fixed term contract until 31 December 2026. Little London Academy is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 1 Teaching Assistant to join our committed and supportive team. This is a rewarding role that plays a vital part in ensuring all pupils are supported to access learning, achieve their potential and thrive within a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment. The successful candidate will work under the direction of teaching staff to provide classroom support, promote pupil engagement and independence, and contribute to the overall wellbeing and development of our pupils. The role will also involve supporting the preparation of learning environments, assisting with pupil welfare and behaviour management, and helping to create positive learning experiences for all children.
