Job summary

Haybrook Estate Agents in Sheffield is seeking a Lettings Negotiator to join a fast-paced team. The role offers a basic salary and uncapped commission with an OTE of £32,000+ and strong progression opportunities.

You will liaise with tenants, negotiate tenancies, market properties, and build solid landlord relationships. A driving licence and a proactive attitude are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Strong customer service mindset is essential.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
• Proficient with basic MS Office and IT tools.
• Preferably knowledge of current residential lettings legislation.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with prospective tenants and arrange property viewings.
• Negotiate offers and agree new tenancies.
• Develop and maintain relationships with landlords and tenants.
• Market properties to attract tenants using diverse marketing techniques.
• Focus on generating new and repeat business.
• Canvass the local area to grow the pipeline.
• Support property compliance and health and safety standards.

• Complete on-target earnings exceeding £32000 per year
• Basic Salary of £16,000 to £18,000 (Dependent on experience)

A day in the life of a Lettings Negotiator

• Liaising with prospective tenants and arranging property viewings in line with their needs
• Negotiating offers and agreeing new tenancies
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with Landlords and Tenants
• Marketing properties to tenants utilizing various marketing skills
• A focus on generating new and repeat business
• Canvassing the local area
• Door knocking and leaflet dropping
• Ensuring properties adhere to health and safety standards

Essential Skills of a Lettings Negotiator

• Full UK Driving Licence for a manual vehicle
• Works well with others to create a team spirit and an enjoyable working environment.
• A reputation for delivering outstanding customer service
• Ability to work under own initiative
• Good telephone manner
• Strong IT skills (Basic Microsoft Packages)
• Attention to detail
• Ideally, an understanding of current legislation related to Residential Lettings

We are currently conducting some interviews using video software.To be eligible to proceed in our recruitment process, you will need:

• Full UK Driving Licence
• Must have access to your own vehicle
• Before starting with us, you will need to provide proof of business insurance for your vehicle.
• Legal entitlement to live and work in the UK (in accordance with the Immigration Asylum and Nationality Act 2006)
• We’ll need evidence of your right to work in the UK, in the form of: Passport/Birth Certificate
