Job summary

Serco Limited is recruiting on behalf of The Maidstone Leisure Trust for a Leisure Supervisor at Maidstone Leisure Centre. The role involves supervising daily activities, assisting the Duty Manager, and maintaining safety and cleanliness across the facility.

Flexible to weekends with early and late shifts, 6am–10:30pm. You’ll be part of a team focused on delivering excellent customer experiences and promoting healthy lifestyles within the community.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing role with a strong commitment to service.
• Ability to stay calm, responsive and vigilant in busy environments.
• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with people of all ages and abilities.
• National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (or equivalent) and supervisory experience are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities within the leisure centre, ensuring customer safety and excellent service standards at all times.
• Support the Duty Manager and provide operational cover during periods of absence.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and equipment setup across the facility.
• Promote and follow all health and safety procedures, policies and relevant legislation.
• Build positive relationships with customers and local authority partners, helping to deliver a welcoming environment.
• Support the achievement of operational and performance targets while identifying opportunities for improvement.

Salary: £27,774.28 plus excellent benefits

Schedule: 40 hours per week, flexible to work earlies, lates and weekends, between the hours 6am -10.30pm.
