Job summary

Finlake Resort & Spa, part of Haulfryn, is seeking a Leisure Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of our leisure facilities, including pools, gym and activities. You will lead the leisure team, ensure safety, quality customer service and commercial performance for owners, members and guests.

We want a hands-on professional with strong pool plant knowledge, health and safety expertise and the ability to drive standards across reception and membership services.

Qualifications

• Previous leisure, health club or holiday park operational experience.
• Detailed knowledge of swimming pool and pool plant operations.
• Experience in leading, supervising or developing a team.
• Strong understanding of health and safety in a leisure environment.
• Ability to implement SOPs, NOPs and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good commercial awareness with focus on revenue, retention and efficiency.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage changing priorities.
• Proactive, practical and solutions-focused approach.
• Full, valid UK driving licence may be required where driving is part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operation of the leisure facilities, including pools, gym, reception, membership services and activities.

• Oversee pool operations, water testing and plant checks.
• Maintain a strong health and safety culture and ensure procedures are followed.

• Support commercial performance through membership growth and cost control.
• Identify operational issues and drive improvements to resolution.
• Collaborate with park management and other departments.

Thisis a varied management role combining people leadership, health and safety,customer experience and commercial performance. What You’ll Do

• Overseethe day-to-day operation of the leisure facilities, including swimmingpools, gym, reception, membership services and leisure activities.
• Lead,support and develop the leisure team, ensuring clear expectations andconsistently high standards.
• Ensurethe leisure facilities are safe, clean, welcoming and operationally ready.
• Overseeswimming pool and pool plant operations, including water testing, plantchecks and operational records.
• Maintaina strong health and safety culture and ensure relevant operatingprocedures, risk assessments and safety documentation are understood andfollowed.
• Delivera professional and welcoming experience for owners, members and holidayguests.
• Supportthe effective operation of reception and membership services, includingenquiries, renewals and customer queries.
• Supportcommercial performance through membership growth, customer retention andeffective management of operational costs and resources.
• Identifyoperational issues and opportunities for improvement, taking ownership ofsolutions and following matters through to resolution.
• Workcollaboratively with park management and other departments to support thewider operation of the park.

Who We’re Looking For

• Previousexperience within a leisure, health club, holiday park or similaroperational environment.
• Detailedpractical knowledge of swimming pool and pool plant operations.
• Experienceof leading, supervising or developing team members.
• Agood understanding of health and safety requirements within a leisureenvironment.
• Theability to understand and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs),Normal Operating Procedures (NOPs) and Emergency Action Plans (EAPs).
