Job summary

Crowne Plaza Nottingham, operated by Valor Hospitality Partners, LLC, is seeking a friendly Leisure Club Assistant on an occasional worker basis to support our leisure facilities and deliver a high-quality guest experience at Crowne Plaza Nottingham.

You will greet guests, assist with bookings and payments, and help supervise pool and gym areas while maintaining safety and cleanliness. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is essential.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing experience in leisure/hospitality is desirable.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well within a team.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests, provide information about facilities and services.
• Keep facilities clean, safe, and well-maintained according to health and safety rules.
• Monitor pool and gym activities to ensure a safe environment.
• Assist with leisure and fitness programmes and classes.
• Carry out front desk duties such as bookings, payments and membership inquiries.

With a focus on customer satisfaction and safety, you'll support the smooth operation of our leisure facilities, ensuring they are clean, well-maintained, and welcoming to all visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Engagement: Greet and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing information about facilities, services, and programmes.

• Facility Maintenance: Ensure all equipment and areas are clean, safe, and in good working condition, following health and safety protocols.

• Pool and Gym Supervision: Monitor activity within the pool and gym areas to ensure a safe environment for all users.

• Programme Support: Assist with the delivery of leisure and fitness programmes, including group classes and one-on-one sessions.

• Administrative Duties: Carry out front desk operations, including bookings, payments, and membership inquiries.

• Health and Safety: Conduct regular checks and report any issues to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in a customer-facing role, ideally within the leisure or hospitality industry.
