Job summary

Fylde Coast YMCA is seeking a Centre Supervisor to help run our leisure and community facilities, delivering excellent customer service and maintaining a safe, welcoming environment. You will support reception duties, uphold health and safety standards, and coordinate activity areas for busy daily schedules.

Applicants should have five GCSEs (C or above) including Maths and English, a calm, solution-focused approach, and a commitment to teamwork.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (grades C or above) including Maths and English.
• Experience delivering excellent customer service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy environment.
• Commitment to teamwork and respectful collaboration.
• Discretion and confidentiality in handling information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high-visibility presence on the shop floor and engage with staff and customers.
• Assist on Reception and cover duties for breaks or sickness as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety at Work Act and YMCA procedures.
• Be responsible for building security and its contents at all times.
• Identify and report maintenance needs and liaise with contractors.
• Prepare activity areas safely, including setting up and storing equipment.
