Job summary

Lift Sir Herbert Leon Leisure Centre in Milton Keynes is seeking a motivated Leisure Centre Duty Manager to lead day-to-day operations, oversee staff, ensure safety and deliver high-quality customer service. You will hold an NPLQ Lifeguard Qualification, manage pool operations, recruit and train staff, support leisure programmes and act as a keyholder to support emergency procedures.

A GCSE in Maths and English (grade 4+) is essential; additional qualifications such as a Swimming Teacher

Qualifications

• Must have NPLQ Lifeguard Qualification and leisure-centre experience.
• GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent Level 2).
• Additional qualifications such as a Swimming Teacher Qualification, Pool Plant Operator Certificate or First Aid at Work are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee swimming pool operations and perform pool water tests and plant maintenance.
• Lifeguard swimming sessions and ensure facilities and equipment are well maintained.
• Support staff recruitment, training and development; assist with planning and delivery of leisure programmes.
• Promote the Centre's services to the community and act as keyholder for emergency procedures.
