Job summary

FM Search & Select Ltd is seeking a Legionella Risk Assessor for a mobile role covering sites predominantly across Scotland with occasional travel to England. You will carry out detailed risk assessments, evaluate hot and cold-water systems, and provide recommendations for remedial works and maintenance.

The position requires at least 2 years’ site-based Legionella Risk Assessments, a recognised qualification such as City & Guilds, strong knowledge of water hygiene legislation, and a full UK

• Minimum 2 years' experience carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments in a site-based role.
• Strong knowledge of current water hygiene legislation and compliance.
• Experience producing detailed risk assessment reports and water system schematics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Legionella Risk Assessor

Central Belt / Scotland - Mobile Role

Permanent | Full-Time

We're looking to speak with experienced Legionella Risk Assessors for a mobile position covering sites predominantly throughout Scotland.

We're flexible on where you're based, provided you're comfortable travelling across the Central Belt and wider Scotland as required. There will also be occasional travel to sites throughout England, so some flexibility for working away will be required.

This would suit an experienced Risk Assessor who is confident managing their own workload, dealing directly with clients and producing high-quality assessments and reports across a varied portfolio of sites.

What you'll be doing

• Carrying out detailed Legionella Risk Assessments across a range of customer sites.
• Assessing hot and cold-water systems and identifying potential risks and areas of non-compliance.
• Providing clear recommendations for remedial works and ongoing maintenance.
• Producing accurate schematic drawings and diagrams of site water systems.
• Investigating faults and issues within water and plumbing systems.
• Completing detailed reports and supporting documentation within required timescales.
• Ensuring assessments are completed in accordance with relevant legislation, guidance and industry best practice, including ACOP L8, HSG274 and BS 8580.
• Working closely with internal Helpdesk and Operations teams to manage workloads and meet agreed SLAs.
• Working safely in accordance with site-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
• Building strong relationships with customers and providing a professional service while on site.
• Travelling between customer locations, predominantly across Scotland with occasional travel throughout England.

What we're looking for

You'll need to have:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments in a site-based role.
• A recognised Legionella Risk Assessment qualification, such as City & Guilds or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of current water hygiene legislation, guidance and compliance requirements.
• Experience producing detailed risk assessment reports and water system schematics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and organise your own workload.
• A full UK driving licence.
• It would also be beneficial if you hold a Water Regulations Certification, a Level 2 or Level 3 Plumbing qualification, or have experience working across commercial, industrial and public sector environments.

The opportunity

This is a mobile position offering plenty of variety, with the majority of work based throughout Scotland. Location is flexible, so we're happy to consider experienced Risk Assessors based anywhere that provides reasonable access to the Central Belt and wider Scottish sites.

There will be occasional travel to England depending on client requirements.
