Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Legionella Risk Assessor for a Scotland-wide role based in Glasgow. You will conduct Legionella risk assessments and water hygiene tasks, producing detailed reports and actionable recommendations for clients across Scotland.

The ideal candidate has 2 years’ experience in Legionella risk assessment, solid knowledge of ACOP L8, HSG274 and BS8580, and holds City & Guilds in Legionella Risk Assessment, with a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience as a Legionella Risk Assessor or in a similar water hygiene role.
• City & Guilds (or equivalent) qualification in Legionella Risk Assessment.
• Solid knowledge of ACOP L8, HSG274, and BS8580.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments in line with ACOP L8, HSG274, and BS8580 guidance.
• Handling general water hygiene tasks, including temperature monitoring, sampling, and system inspections.
• Producing clear, accurate technical reports and recommendations for clients.

Legionella Risk Assessor

£30,000 - £36,000 (Depending on experience) + Company Van

Glasgow (Scotland-wide travel)

A Legionella Risk Assessor role covering a genuinely varied portfolio across Scotland, with a specialist water hygiene business that takes compliance seriously.

We're working with an established Legionella and water hygiene specialist, a registered member of the Legionella Control Association, known for delivering reliable, high-quality water safety services across a range of sectors.

Your day-to-day:

• Carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments in line with ACOP L8, HSG274, and BS8580 guidance
• Handling general water hygiene tasks, including temperature monitoring, sampling, and system inspections
• Producing clear, accurate technical reports and recommendations for clients

What you'll need:

• 2 years' experience as a Legionella Risk Assessor or in a similar water hygiene role
• City & Guilds (or equivalent) qualification in Legionella Risk Assessment
• Solid knowledge of ACOP L8, HSG274, and BS8580
• Full UK Driving Licence
