Legal Secretary - Southampton - Up to £28,000 per annum

A well-respected and values-driven firm based in Southampton is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their friendly and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and proactive individual who thrives in a collaborative environment.

The company offers a positive working culture, modern offices and a comprehensive benefits package including 26 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audio and copy typing of legal documents from dictation
  • Preparing and formatting a variety of legal documentation
  • Managing incoming and outgoing telephone calls, both internal and external
  • Acting as the first point of contact for the department
  • Liaising with clients and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Ensuring file compliance and accurate record keeping
  • Diary management for fee earners
  • General administrative duties including filing, scanning, and document management

Requirements:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • High level of accuracy in typing and document preparation
  • A team-oriented mindset with a proactive and flexible approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
