Location: Remote - England and Wales

Description

We are looking for a Legal Secretary to join DAC Beachcroft, supporting our secretarial team and lawyers within the Claims Solutions Group on a remote basis.

This role suits someone with some previous secretarial experience who is confident supporting a large team. The workload includes document collation, billing, finance queries, payment requests, and diary management.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop a career as a Legal Secretary within a supportive team.

What you will do

  • Prepare correspondence and documents from digital dictation, proofreading speech recognition dictation
  • Answer and make telephone calls
  • Manage the case management system
  • Keep case files organized
  • Prepare documentation bundles and use e-bundling software
  • Set up and archive files
  • Perform filing, photocopying, scanning, and faxing
  • Use external client systems for document handling
  • Check notification inboxes
  • Copy disks and use encryption software
  • Assist with travel arrangements and cost-saving initiatives
  • Support lawyers with admin tasks like expenses and diarising
  • Liaise with lawyers and teams on workflow updates
  • Book client meetings
  • Support business activities like producing presentations, mail merges, spreadsheets, reports, and delegate packs
  • Understand financial administration related to billing and maintain accurate financial data
  • Keep client contact information updated
  • Share knowledge about external client setup changes
  • Update client details in systems as needed

Who you are

  • Previous secretarial experience, ideally in legal environment
  • Audio typing experience
  • Secretarial NVQ/Diploma or equivalent beneficial
