Job summary

TradingView Inc. is seeking a Legal Counsel to join the Legal team and manage high-priority, time-sensitive challenges across market data, IP, and data protection. You will advise executives, craft strategic responses, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to protect and commercialise our products globally.

You will lead complex vendor agreements, ensure licensing compliance, and contribute to governance, regulatory readiness, and dispute resolution in a fast-growing fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years PQE in commercial technology, market data, intellectual property, disputes or privacy.
• Experience supporting a global technology, fintech, or SaaS business; exposure to regulated environments is advantageous.
• Strong negotiation of complex commercial, technology, SaaS, cloud, data processing, and licensing agreements.
• Knowledge of intellectual property strategy and protection, including enforcement matters.
• Experience handling disputes, litigation, or regulatory investigations.
• Solid understanding of data protection and GDPR, with guidance on data risk and cross-border transfers.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiation, drafting, and execution of complex commercial agreements with technology partners, SaaS providers, data processing, security, and market data licensing.
• Provide senior-level legal counsel to executives on market data regulation, IP, disputes, data protection, cybersecurity, and risk.
• Advise on market data usage, redistribution, licensing compliance, and vendor agreements.
• Own vendor governance across contract status, liability, risk mitigation, and performance obligations.
• Collaborate with Security, Engineering, Product, Compliance, and HR to align on security and data protection.
• Lead strategy for IP protection, enforcement, and disputes globally including trademarks and copyrights.
• Manage contentious matters and regulatory inquiries with external counsel as needed.
• Design and scale legal processes and contract management to improve efficiency and visibility.
• Advise on data protection obligations and cross-border transfers for products.
• Identify and report on legal/compliance risks across products and operations.
• Develop policies, playbooks, and training across legal, IP, dispute management, security, and data governance.
• Support strategic initiatives and regulatory readiness at senior leadership level.
