Job summary

GlobalData seeks an ambitious Commercial Legal Officer to join our growing Legal and Compliance team. You will draft, review and negotiate a range of commercial contracts, ensuring data protection compliance and alignment with our AI policies.

The role involves collaborating across the business, advising on regulatory changes, and helping implement new policies. UK/EU data protection knowledge and in-house or paralegal experience are valuable for success.

Qualifications

• Qualified in law with focus on commercial contracts and data protection.
• Experience drafting/negotiating commercial documents.
• Experience in in-house or law firm settings as a paralegal or professional.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial documents and agreements.
• Record management: manage execution of agreements.
• Research ad hoc points of law and regulation and advise the head of legal.
• Ensure compliance with global data privacy regimes using GDPR-based policies.
• Monitor regulatory changes and support implementation of actions.
• Draft new policies and procedures.
