Job summary

Barclay Simpson is recruiting a Legal Counsel for an established investment management firm in London. You will own IT, data and AI‑related legal work, including IT SaaS licenses and technology procurement, and support information governance matters.

Requirements: 3–5 PQE with a strong IT contracts background, private practice or in‑house. Financial services experience is helpful but not essential; you should be confident engaging with senior stakeholders and help shape the firm’s technology

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of PQE with strong grounding in IT or technology contracts.
• Experience in private practice or in-house legal department.
• Ability to engage directly with senior stakeholders.

• Own IT, data and AI‑related legal work for the firm.
• Lead on IT, SaaS and licensing agreements; support data protection matters.
• Define the legal framework for technology initiatives within the investment platform.
