Job description

HCB Widdows Mason is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our Property team. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in property law and eager to support clients throughout their property transactions.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Managing client inquiries and providing updates on property transactions
  • Assisting in the opening and closing of client files, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards
  • Conducting legal research related to property law and practices
  • Drafting legal documents, correspondence, and reports for clients and solicitors
  • Supporting solicitors in preparing for negotiations and transactions
  • Maintaining accurate records in the case management system while ensuring confidentiality
  • Performing general administrative tasks, such as filing and scheduling appointments
  • Providing reception cover as needed
Requirements:
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • A keen interest in property law and legal processes
  • Previous experience in a legal or property setting is preferable but not essential
