Job Description:

LOCATION: Remote: Availability to work across multiple time zones; may include some unsocial hours (GMT)

POST OBJECTIVES:

Deliver and manage modules across both undergraduate and postgraduate Football Business degree courses. Complete administrative tasks, including quality assurance documents, moderation of assessments, and participation in Assessment Boards as required by GIS’ awarding bodies. Support staff teaching on UG and PG courses in collaboration with the Deputy Dean. Support the academic provision at overseas partnerships linked to GIS courses.

KEY TASKS:

• Teach on designated modules and courses, including contributing to online course delivery.
• Maintain academic standards and adhere to course and module specifications.
• Design and deliver teaching materials at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supporting curriculum review and enhancement to focus on student learning outcomes.
• Prepare and deliver lectures and seminars across various study levels.
• Encourage critical thinking and debate to develop student engagement and excellence.
• Identify students’ learning needs, define objectives, supervise projects, and advise on study skills.
• Integrate innovative teaching methods, technology, and real-world applications.
• Track student engagement, provide feedback, and maintain records of progress.
• Conduct assessments and examinations, providing feedback.
• Mark and verify students’ work internally.
• Collaborate with colleagues and External Examiners to embed best practices.
• Engage in professional development and participate in department seminars.
• Develop expertise in your field, participate in research, and build external networks.
• Contribute to assessment procedures and provide pastoral care as a personal tutor.
• Refer students to support services and work towards key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with support staff to ensure student satisfaction and contribute to institutional reviews.
• Undertake staff development and adhere to health, safety, and equality policies.
• Perform other relevant duties responsibly.
