Job summary

Nottingham College is seeking a lecturer for delivery within our Foundation Learning department to inspire and support learners aged 16 to 18, delivering accredited qualifications at Entry 3 and Level 1, including Functional Skills Maths and English.

You will bring experience of teaching in FE, be professional and innovative, and capable of creating engaging lessons that help students progress to higher level learning and training.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering teaching, learning and assessment in FE.
  • Experience with 16–18 year olds and progression to higher level learning.
  • Ability to create engaging lessons and use digital technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver accredited qualifications at Entry 3 and Level 1, including Functional Skills Maths & English.
  • Inspire students and help them progress to higher level learning and training.
  • Work in a demanding and changing environment with professional conduct.

Who we need

We are looking for a lecturer for delivery within our Foundation Learning department and who has experience of teaching, learning and assessment within further educational setting. You will have knowledge and understanding of working with 16 to 18 year olds and be able to evidence your achievements with this cohort. You will be dedicated, enthusiastic and innovative to join our outstanding faculty area. The successful applicant will be able to deliver accredited qualifications at Entry 3 and Level 1, including Functional Skills Maths & English. You will be professional, responsible and confident lecturer who has the skills to inspire both students and colleagues alike, and the ability to innovatively create and deliver and achieve for our young people.

What you'll bring

With previous experience of teaching, you'll have a practical, but creative approach that generates outstanding lessons that fully engage and inspire students, with ability to create innovative methods of learning that will support students' and prepare them for progression to higher level learning and training. For this role we are looking for people who: Have experience of delivery to 16 to 18 year olds and passionate about teaching in FE sector. Able to create and deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment. Are committed to ensuring all our students make the best progress possible. Are able to work in a demanding and changing environment. Are able to bring current skills and awareness of digital technologies in teaching, learning and assessment.
