At Nottingham College, we know that regular attendance is one of the most important factors in helping students succeed. As a 16–18 Attendance Officer, you will play a key role in supporting our young people to attend college regularly, overcome barriers to attendance and make the most of their time with us.
Working closely with curriculum teams, students, parents/carers and colleagues across the College, you will help identify attendance concerns early and provide the encouragement, challenge and practical support students need to stay engaged with their education.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is organised, approachable and passionate about helping young people achieve their potential.
You will:
We are looking for someone who is confident working with young people and can build positive relationships while also having the confidence to challenge poor attendance.
You will be organised, persistent and solution-focused, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be comfortable working with a range of people and situations and able to handle sensitive conversations professionally and appropriately.
You will also need to be able to work independently, manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records, while contributing positively to a wider team.
Most importantly, you will share our commitment to helping every student overcome barriers, engage with their education and achieve their potential.
You will be joining a college that is passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of our students, our communities and each other.
This role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference. Every conversation, intervention and piece of support could be the moment that helps a student re-engage with college and get back on track.
If you are passionate about supporting young people and want to help make every day count, we'd love to hear from you.
