Job summary

East Midland Institute of Technology at Loughborough College invites applications for a Lecturer in Engineering (Higher-Education). You will teach Level 4–6 Engineering modules to a mix of part-time, full-time and Higher Apprenticeship HE students, using varied teaching strategies to motivate learners.

The role requires an engineering degree or MSc, willingness to work towards a teaching qualification, and occasional travel to other sites.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Engineering (Higher-Education) to join our team at East Midland Institute of Technology, based at Loughborough College.

We are looking for an individual to teach variety Level 4, 5 and 6 Engineering modules across the department to part-time, full-time and Higher Apprenticeship HE students.

You will have experience in a relevant vocational industry setting or academic background and be able to demonstrate the ability to motivate students through the use of varied teaching and learning strategies.

Responsibilities of this role include:

• To use industry experience and expertise to contextualise learning and develop students’ understanding of electrical engineering and power networks
• To play a key role in quality assurance and quality improvement processes – full training will be provided
• To deliver high quality and challenging learning experiences
