Job summary

Stephenson College invites applications for a Lecturer in Sport (FE) to join our Loughborough campus. The role involves teaching full-time sport students across a range of units and providing lesson cover when required.

You will bring industry experience in sport and a relevant degree, demonstrate strong interpersonal and organisational skills, and work within a large, cross-curricular team to plan, deliver learning and assess progress toward targets.

Job description

We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a passionate, innovative, and dynamic Lecturer to join our Sports (FE) team at Loughborough College. This role involves teaching full-time sport students across a range of units, as well as providing lesson cover where required.

As a Lecturer, you will deliver high-quality, engaging teaching that motivates and inspires learners to achieve their full potential. You will plan and deliver challenging learning experiences, assess student progress, and monitor achievement to ensure learners meet or exceed their target grades.

The successful candidate will bring industry experience within sport, alongside a relevant degree (or equivalent qualification). You will demonstrate strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a large, cross-curricular team. Excellent planning, administrative, and time management skills are essential, as is the ability to meet deadlines and utilise a variety of teaching methodologies.
