Job summary

Qualifications

We are seeking a Lecturer in Engineering to join our team on a Full- Time, Permanent Basis.

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Engineering Lecturer , you will deliver engaging and inclusive sessions to learners, supporting them to develop practical literacy skills for work, further study and everyday life.

You will:

• Develop engaging schemes of work tailored to learners with diverse starting points
• Use learner-centred teaching and assessment strategies to drive progress and achievement
• Provide clear, constructive feedback that builds confidence and promotes independence
• Monitor and track attendance, progress and achievement, implementing timely interventions where required
• Support learners with varying barriers to education, creating an inclusive and motivating classroom environment
• Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring provision remains relevant to employment and progression pathways
• Engage in continuous professional development to maintain up-to-date knowledge of education policiesand practice.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a passionate and committed Engineering specialist who understands the transformational impact of further education.

You should have:

• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent)

In addition, you will demonstrate:

• Experience teaching Production and Performng Arts within Further Education
• The ability to teach across all levels and have industry background.
• Recent experience teaching Engineering from entry-level through to Level 2 and Level 3 – ideally within a Further Education/College setting;
• Strong understanding ofinclusive teaching strategies
• The ability to differentiate effectively for mixed-ability groups
• Experience tracking and monitoring learner progress using digital systems
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and learner wellbeing
