Job summary

DN Colleges Group is seeking an Electrical Installation Lecturer to join the Engineering team and inspire learners across Electrical Installation programmes. You will deliver high-quality teaching, provide pastoral support, and embed English and Maths within vocational learning to boost student success.

Open to experienced lecturers or industry professionals moving into teaching; we may support a teaching qualification if needed.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or related discipline.
  • Minimum Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
  • Excellent subject knowledge of Electrical Installation programmes and industry practices.
  • Ability to deliver engaging learning experiences and motivate learners.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, with strong communication and team-working skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across Electrical Installation programmes.
  • Act as a Programme Tutor, providing academic and pastoral support to a designated caseload.
  • Monitor student progress, attendance and achievement, maintaining accurate records.
  • Develop engaging learning experiences using a range of teaching methodologies and technologies.
  • Embed English and Maths within vocational learning to support student success.
  • Build links with industry partners to enhance curriculum delivery and progression.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, quality improvement activities and recruitment events.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment for student wellbeing.

Essential Criteria
  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.

  • Ability to deliver engaging learning experiences and motivate students to achieve their potential.

  • Contribute to curriculum development, quality improvement activities and student recruitment events including Open Days and information sessions.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment that supports student achievement and wellbeing.
