Job summary

Barking & Dagenham College invites applications for a Part-Time Lecturer in Business. You will deliver engaging sessions to learners, developing literacy and employability skills for work and study. The role is 10.8 hours per week on a fixed-term basis until 9 July 2027.

You should hold a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed or equivalent) and have FE Business teaching experience, with a focus on inclusive, differentiated learning and progress tracking using digital tools.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Lecturer - Business, you will deliver engaging and inclusive sessions to learners, supporting them to develop practical literacy skills for work, further study and everyday life.

You will:

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a passionate and committed Lecturer - Business specialist who understands the transformational impact of further education.

You should have:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent)

In addition, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience teaching Business within Further Education
  • The ability to teach across all levels and have industry background.
  • Strong understanding ofinclusive teaching strategies
  • The ability to differentiate effectively for mixed-ability groups
  • Experience tracking and monitoring learner progress using digital systems
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and learner wellbeing
