Job summary

TeacherActive is recruiting a Learning Support Assistant on behalf of a mainstream college in Leicester. The role involves supporting a tutor across a range of practical subjects, with emphasis on KS5/T-Level delivery and strong communication to help students access the curriculum.

The position starts immediately and offers 12–16 pounds per hour. Candidates should have Level 3 (or equivalent), a current DBS and experience supporting learners with diverse needs.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or equivalent relevant subject.
• DBS and update service.
• Experience supporting college tutors in a wide range of practical courses.
• Broad experience with personal care and learning support work.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of a T-Level course.

Responsibilities

• Support a tutor and pupils to provide the best learning experience.
• Help learners access the curriculum and achieve their programme of study.
• Assist with KS5/T-Level delivery and encourage independence.
