Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for a mainstream primary school in Bristol to support KS1 pupils. You will work alongside class teachers to assist learning, promote positive behaviour and help create an engaging classroom environment.

The role suits someone with experience in primary settings and a good grasp of the Primary Curriculum, along with strong communication skills. All staff are paid on a PAYE basis with market-leading rates and opportunities for CPD certificates

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a primary school or similar educational setting.
• Experience supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 / KS1.
• A good understanding of the Primary Curriculum.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive and proactive approach to supporting learning.
• Adaptability and excellent classroom management skills.

Responsibilities

The school is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to provide day-to-day support across Key Stage 1 / KS1. The successful Learning Support Assistant will work alongside class teachers to support pupils with their learning, encourage positive behaviour and help create an engaging classroom environment.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will have:
