Job summary

Ormiston Latimer Academy in London is seeking a Learning Support Professional to help pupils who find mainstream education challenging re-engage with learning and build confidence. You will support individuals and small groups, deliver targeted interventions in literacy, speech and language, behaviour and PSHE, and help pupils manage behaviour and relationships.

You will contribute to IEPs, support emotional and social well-being, and work with families and professionals, including home visits

Qualifications

• Must have good literacy and numeracy (level 2 in English and Maths, or equivalent).
• Confident IT skills.
• Understanding of how children learn and develop.
• Experience working with children with additional needs (SEN/ ASD/ ADHD) or passion for helping.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals and small groups in the classroom under teaching staff guidance.
• Deliver targeted interventions in literacy, speech and language, behaviour and PSHE.
• Help pupils manage behaviour and build positive relationships.
• Contribute to IEPs and support pupils' emotional and social well-being.
• Work closely with families and other professionals, including home visits where required.
