Job summary

Ormiston Denes Academy is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support student transition and progress throughout the academic year. You will help students settle quickly, close learning gaps and boost confidence by delivering targeted interventions.

You will work closely with families, teachers and pastoral teams, identifying barriers to learning and implementing effective support strategies for individual students and small groups.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
• Highly organised, resilient and proactive with the ability to identify barriers to learning.
• Understanding challenges for students joining mid-year, with gaps or barriers like attendance, SEND, SEMH or disrupted education is advantageous.
